About Us
A family office rooted in family, faith, and the long view.
We're Jamie and Taylor Mitchell — a husband-and-wife team building a family office out of Willow Park, Texas. What started as a handful of ventures in oil and gas, water management, and ranching has grown into a portfolio spanning real estate development, storage, insurance, energy, education technology, and private investments.
We believe in ownership. We believe in operations. And we believe in working hand-in-hand with our kids on land we hope outlasts us by generations.
Before the Business
It started long before the businesses did. We met at Oklahoma State, where Taylor was Jamie's tutor — a class Jamie may have intentionally taken twice. We dated on and off through college, and a year after Jamie graduated, while Taylor was still in Stillwater, he proposed on their alumni bricks at Oklahoma State. She said yes.
We spent the next year working apart and quickly decided we never wanted to do that again. So we went back to school together, earned our MBAs at TCU side by side, started working side by side, and even went to Harvard together to complete our Executive Education. Eleven years later, we still haven't spent a day apart in business — and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Along the way, we've been building something else: a family of four kids who keep us grounded in why any of this matters.
